Tell us a bit about yourself

Ryder Skye: There is one very distinct quality that I have and that is my need to prove that I can do anything. If anyone tells me that I can’t do something, I will always make it a point to prove them wrong. It is because of this that I found myself doing porn. Or rather it is because of a dare that I even considered it. I had no idea that it would have become a career, and even more so a career that I would have loved doing. But here I am, 12 years later and I can honestly say that my decision to do porn was the best decision I have ever made. I mean how many people can actually say that they look forward to going to work? But then again, how many people can say that their work is having sex? I also learned photography and editing to expand my knowledge within the industry. Aside from porn I also started a jewelry company called Purely Skye Designs where I make hand crafted jewelry, I design clothing, and have a “coming soon” t-shirt company called Slutwear.

Ryder Skye: I came up with Ryder when I started dancing. I had heard the name before and liked it so I went with it. As far as Skye goes, it was the first thing that popped in my head that seemed to flow with Ryder.

Ryder Skye: I do have other jobs or at least ways of making money and keeping busy when I’m not shooting. I own my own company called “Purely Skye Designs” where I make and design fine jewelry. I also have a clothing company called “Pornstar Hippie” where I redesign modernize 60’s and 70’s inspired clothing. I am also currently in the process of creating a new t-shirt company called “Slutwear”. In addition to that I do photography and well and even built a small photography studio at home.

Ryder Skye: I am currently working on a new “inside the industry” Youtube show, getting ready to release my Slutwear clothing line, and will also be taking shoots as they come.

Ryder Skye: Yes, there is and there always has been a stigma. I lost friends as a result and it has affected the way most people treat me whether I’ve known them a while or just met them. As far as handling it goes, I just did what I always do which is to make it a point to not give a shit what people think about me or my job. It’s my life not theirs and if they chose ignorance over openminded-ness then that is their struggle not mine.

My Favorite Pornstar: What is the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Ryder Skye: This isn’t really that weird within the porn community but it may be from a civilian’s point of view… I had to kick someone in the balls repeatedly and spit in their face. I felt awful for doing it but he seemed to actually like it.

Ryder Skye: I have been recognized randomly here and there but most people are not too quick to publicly blurt out that they know you through masturbation.

Ryder Skye: Dating and not being treated like an actual human being 80% of the time.

Ryder Skye: Working a job I would be miserable doing.
