Tell us a bit about yourself.

Ryder Skye: There is one very distinct quality that I have and that is my need to prove that I can do anything. If anyone tells me that I can’t do something, I will always make it a point to prove them wrong. It is because of this that I found myself doing porn. Or rather it is because of a dare that I even considered it. I had no idea that it would have become a career, and even more so a career that I would have loved doing.

But here I am, 12 years later and I can honestly say that my decision to do porn was the best decision I have ever made. I mean how many people can actually say that they look forward to going to work? But then again, how many people can say that their work is having sex? I also learned photography and editing to expand my knowledge within the industry. Aside from porn I also started a jewelry company called Purely Skye Designs where I make hand-crafted jewelry, design clothing, and have a “coming soon” t-shirt company called Slutwear.

Ryder Skye: I’m 5’2” I weight 110lbs and my measurements are 32DDD-25-33.

How did you create the name?

Ryder Skye: I came up with Ryder when I started dancing. I had heard the name before and liked it so I went with it. As far as Skye goes, it was the first thing that popped in my head that seemed to flow with Ryder.

What do you enjoy most about being a porn star?

Ryder Skye: Honestly? Everything. Starting from my first day on set which was Easter Sunday 2007 I have loved my job and always look forward to every shoot. After all… I do get to have sex for a living.

Ryder Skye: Still here but shooting more scenes I hope. I am currently working on a new “inside the industry” Youtube show, getting ready to release my Slutwear clothing line, and will also be taking shoots as they come.

Ryder Skye: Yes, there is and there always has been a stigma. I lost friends as a result and it has affected the way most people treat me whether I’ve known them a while or just met them. It’s my life not theirs and if they chose ignorance over openminded-ness then that is their struggle not mine.

What's the weirdest thing that you've been asked to do during a shoot?

Ryder Skye: This isn’t really that weird within the porn community but it may be from a civilian’s point of view… I had to kick someone in the balls repeatedly and spit in their face. I felt awful for doing it but he seemed to actually like it.

Do you get recognized outside of the industry?

Ryder Skye: I have been recognized randomly here and there but most people are not too quick to publicly blurt out that they know you through masturbation.

What's the most difficult thing about being a porn star?

Ryder Skye: Dating and not being treated like an actual human being 80% of the time.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?

Ryder Skye: I would say your best bet is your cell phone cam.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of the industry?

Ryder Skye: Anything creative… I like to build things, make things, grow things, you name it and if I haven’t done it yet I almost definitely will.

Ryder Skye: Every single one of them because combined they have all been part of what has been an amazing experience/career so far.

Do you watch porn? If so what type?

Ryder Skye: Well considering that porn is pretty much my life already, I don‘t often watch it. Although when I do, I tend to watch gay porn, most likely because it is out of the realm of what I already know.
