Tell us a bit about yourself
Charles Dera: Hey guys, thanks for your interest. I started performing in adult films 2/2/07. I worked in NYC as a fashion/fitness model and actor from 00’ – 03’. I moved to Vegas in 03’ and started touring the world with the Chippendales. I quit the show and started Porn 2/2/07 and never looked back. I fell in love with the porn career instantly. It certainly fit me the best. I love how the focus is on the girls and I’m there to show them off.
My Favorite Pornstar: Many porn connoisseurs will know you as the pornstar with the moustache wearing shades and smoking cigars is that a brand, image or the really you?
Charles Dera: In 2017 I came up with the alter ego Karl Toughlove. You can find all his adventures on ToughLoveX.com This is 100% my own. Karl is a man’s man who trains sluts. He gives them what they need not what they want through his ToughLove teachings. It’s very comedic.
What do you enjoy most about directing?
Charles Dera: It’s really fun getting to produce and direct my own scenes. I love picking the locations, girls, wardrobe, make up artists, camera men. I only hire my friends so it’s always good energy on set. The best is seeing the finished product. It’s a great feeling. I partnered up with Your Pay Site Partner. They have done an incredible job of getting my product out there. I really appreciate the entire team. I couldn’t have done it without them.
My Favorite Pornstar: What do you enjoy most about being a pornstar?
Charles Dera: Any entertainment job I have ever had was just a fun way to financially support myself. My true passion is MMA. I have been training and fighting since 02’. Jiu Jitsu is my specialty. I’m a CheckMat Black Belt under Joao Assis. I spent from 2012-2016 training Jiu Jitsu and competing non stop. I didn’t work at all, got around by bicycle, and spent no money. It was quite a beautiful time in my life.
What's your biggest regret?
Charles Dera: My biggest regrets in life are not believing in myself more and listening to society. I should have focused purely on my fighting and not cared about money what so ever. I have a quote. “Do what you love and the rest will fall into place.”The entire universe will come together to put you where you want to be when you’re driven. I’m proof of that.
I retired from competing in 2017. Now I’m focused on being the best snowboarder I can be. During the winters I chase the snow storms while living out of my van going from resort to resort chasing that powder. I really love being in the mountains away from the city. I’ve met so many amazing people in the snowboarding community that continue to help me achieve my goals. I have nothing but gratitude.
What interests do you have outside of the industry?
Charles Dera: I also work with a team of mechanics at Adler Moto Design in SoCal to build bad ass Club Style Harley’s. I currently own a Dyna and a FXR. I will be raffling off the Dyna. One lucky person will win Karl ToughLove’s bike. I’m so blessed to get to ride daily in the SoCal sunshine. I really love California. From the beaches to the mountains. My bikes make commuting a pure joy.
My Favorite Pornstar: What are you priorities in life?
Charles Dera: The most important thing to me in my life is my friends. I keep my circle small. Those who are there mean everything to me. I’m unmarried with no children. This was my choice. My life is an adventure.
