Tell us a bit about yourself.
Tad Pole: I am currently a porn Producer for Tadpolexxxstudio. Prior to being in porn I spent 20 years in the Navy from 1989 to 2009. Then became a school teacher. However that didn’t go as planned so eventually I ended up in doing adult work. I love baseball and played and coached baseball until 2019 when I stopped playing baseball and coaching baseball once I started doing porn. I didn’t have the time. Porn keeps me busy around the clock 7 days a week.
How many scenes have Tad Pole Studios created?
Tad Pole: I’m Losing track. I have 300 vids on manyvids but that is a combination of behind the scenes clips, previews, recorded live streams, and the full scenes. Adult DVD Empire and Hot Movies only want full movies with a beginning, middle, and end. I have 88 movies on Adult DVD Empire currently but I am still submitting older movies to them so about 100 full length movies that are on average 30 minutes long. Plus I have about 50 Virtual Reality 3D scenes.
What do you remember about your first shoot?
Tad Pole: My shoot was with MILF Nicolette Wetone in July 2018 at a live sex party we were hosting. We used to host parties which how I transition to porn. I remember everyone at the party stopped what they were doing to watch. Everyone was saying how it looked. It was a very simple blowbang scene with 4 guys. I edited into a 7 minutes vid that still exists everywhere today. It was fun and I knew that I could produce porn after that shoot and just wanted to improve. I had a lot of people laughing at my porn idea in the very beginning. I ignored and knew I could lean on my work experience in the Navy and as a school to succeed.
Can you tell us a funny story about the industry?
Tad Pole: Let me think. I know there are many. Recently during Miami EXXXOTICA Rebel Rhyder wanted to give the cameraman/male performer Sal Shooter a blow job for shooting her lesbian scene earlier. She let me record for content and during the blow job her husband was making fun how Sal’s snores and he was telling other funny stories throughout the whole spontaneous unplanned shoot. Everyone was laughing. I just uploaded that funny vid yesterday…..
It sounds like a dream job editing porn, what’s the reality?
Tad Pole: I don’t mind editing. I love creating vids.
Which adult movie that you’ve been involved with either the production or filming are you most proud of?
Tad Pole: So many but two stand out. I am proud to shoot porn star Camila Cano 1st ever gangbang because she is so beautiful and is amazing. Then I am very proud of the movie that won 2021 Manyvids Producer Vid of the year starring Ray Ray. That was another gangbang vid but that production had the drama of the pandemic which was produced on the eve of of all the restrictions of everything shutting down. We had way less guys than normal. We only had 4 because of it.
Is there a certain genre that you prefer to shoot?
Tad Pole: Gangbang gonzo style because they are fun for everyone but also because they earn the best. Plus I like the challenge of setting them. It’s not easy especially shooting gangbangs in Virtual Reality 3D.
What do you enjoy about working in the adult entertainment industry?
Tad Pole: Everything. To me it’s the best job on the planet. I worked long hours out to sea in the Navy so this is a whole a lot better. The best to be honest is between action and cut. The second best part is meeting so many amazing people who are just as awesome off camera as people as they are awesome on camera as performers.
What do you think makes a good adult movie?
Tad Pole: Having a female model that really gets into the scenes and she looks like she is loving every second of it. 100% need that. Then also just important is a quality camera getting good penetration shots with really good lighting. I personally like Reality porn where the performers are allowed to be themselves versus porn acting with editing that cuts out the side conversations of changing positions.
What would you change about the adult industry?
Tad Pole: Definitely feels like there is a war on porn. You always wonder which site will go down or no longer want us (looking at you onlyfans) or a vid will be deleted because something broke their rules in scene. I had a platform delete all my videos with a certain performer all because the performer got into trouble and they no longer want that performer featured on that site. Therefore I paid for that scene to be produced and no longer can earn from that scene on the one particular site. It can be stressful. I lived in the Middle East as a teacher and porn sites are banned in the country I was in so if it is possible to banned there then it is a possibility in any country.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Tad Pole: I would like to see myself at EXXXOTICA events as a sponsor with my tadpole logo and brand well known to the porn industry and a trusted porn company that big agencies will send their models to.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Tad Pole: Create your own content and upload to clip sites while using the platforms’ support staff to ensure it is done legally.
