Tell us a bit about yourself?

Sinn Sage: Hi, my name is Sinn Sage, I’ve been a performer and producer/director in the adult film industry for almost 20 years. I love horror movies and contemplating the purpose of life and death.

What are your stats/measurements?

Sinn Sage: Height 5’5″ weight 129 lbs, 34B-27-42.

How did you start within the industry?

Sinn Sage: I had wanted to be a performer of some type my entire life. So when I was old enough to do so, I went looking for it. I started dancing in strip clubs at 19, I found photographers looking for adult models in the back of LA Weekly, I went to my first AVN convention in 2003 with business cards and made some contacts, and that’s pretty much how it all started! Everything just grew from there.

How did you create the name?

Sinn Sage: I was really Goth in high school and I just loved the idea of a dark name like Sinn (but had to add the extra “n” to make it unique, of course!). I chose my last name for a variety of reasons: I grew up on Sage road, it was in a desert with lots of sage bushes, and I also have, indicate, or show profound wisdom.

What do you enjoy most about being a pornstar?

Sinn Sage: The freedom. I have the ultimate control over what I do with my time and when.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Sinn Sage: I’ve got to be honest, i don’t look that far ahead.

What’s your favorite sexual position on & off camera & why?

Sinn Sage: My favorite sexual position on camera is with me wearing a strap on and fucking a girl bent over in front of me! Off camera it’s likely the same, either that or my husband Drake fucking me bent over in front of him.

Are there any sex acts that you want to shoot?

Sinn Sage: Yeah, I’d be pretty into getting gang banged by about 4-5 guys who I hand pick. it’s a fantasy to have my body used in such a way. if that were to ever happen it would be a very special thing.

Which pornstar would you most like to work with?

Sinn Sage: Oh unfortunately I don’t even know any porn stars any more! I’ve been super duper blessed and I’ve worked with pretty much everyone I’ve ever wanted to. but i’d love to work with anyone who is genuinely and authentically into women and whose performances reflect that realness.

What would you change about the adult industry?

Sinn Sage: I’d kick all the transphobes out.

Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?

Sinn Sage: Yes there is, however I developed some teflon protection around me so I’m mostly unaffected by it. I’ve been very blessed to have a loving and supportive small family who accepts me for the person that I am and loves to see me happy and healthy. but I also live by a code, that if someone is going to judge me based on how I choose to survive under capitalism, that’s a good indicator that I don’t respect them and their opinion anyway.

What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Sinn Sage: I really thought I had done it all. Then I did a shoot where I put on a giant inflatable rubber suit that filled up with air and turned me into Violet Beuregard from Willy Wonka, and as I sat there flapping my hands with a blue face in this giant suit, I conceded to the fact that this was, in fact, the weirdest thing I had done on camera.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?

Sinn Sage: At this point you want to own all your own content. Yes, get yourself an agent and try to get some mainstream bookings to get your face out there, but ultimately you want to be the OWNER of your brand and your content! This is how you can make passive income. Do NOT take nonsense from your agent! THEY are supposed to be working for YOU. Also – be kind and supportive of others. The good you put out will come back to you, so will the shit. Being successful these days requires a LOT of hard work and a LOT of putting in a ton of effort without much payoff for a long time. Don’t get discouraged and don’t quit, if this is what you want, keep at it and someday you WILL see the payoff. but if you quit, you never will.

What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?

Sinn Sage: I love the outdoors, National Parks, hiking. my husband and I have a travel van that we have lived in in the past and plan to do more of in the future. snowboarding, disc golfing, yoga, horror media, travel. I’m also a massage therapist.

Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot and if so how did you handle it?

Sinn Sage: No, I can’t imagine myself ever being grossed out by anything that might happen on a shoot. When it comes to the human body, I’ve seen it ALL and done it all on shoots and the only “gross” thing is when someone tries to make someone else feel badly for something that naturally happens when interacting with human bodies in a sexual way.

How did you feel when you won an AVN award for Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene Award & AVN Girl/Girl Performer of the Year?

Sinn Sage: It was extremely validating to have recognition of the work I’ve done from my industry. It was something I just never thought would happen for someone like me, so it was a really big deal. I was very surprised and overwhelmed.

Tell us about Sinn Sage Studios?

Sinn Sage: I had reached the point as a creator where I really wanted to be making my own productions and putting out my own movies based on the types of scenes I wanted to be making. So I reached out to Courtney Trouble and initially just asked for tips and advice on how to pull that off. Instead they offered to help me out and distribute the movies! Courtney was integral to the creation of my studio, and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Since I started it I’ve released about 10 full length movies and several featurettes and compilations as well. I’m extremely proud of my two most recent films, Strap On Sinners 2: Anal Edition, and Sinn’s Trans Lesbian Lovers. The first features me doing what I do best with my strap on, and having very authentic encounters in the butts of some of my absolute favorite people to work with. The second is my first full length foray into extremely passionate lesbian scenes with my gorgeous trans babes.

I had such an amazing time working with everyone in this movie and i’m proud to say that really comes across on camera. it was such a joy to make and it’s even gotten a couple of nominations already! there’s a lot more to cum from my studio and i’m already planning my next movie. What makes you a stand-out Girl/Girl performer?

Sinn Sage: It’s hard for me to say this about myself, but I guess it’s just my very real and intense passion for women. I think there’s a joy there that you can really see coming through and it resonates with people who like to see that level of authenticity.

Do you use sex toys? If so which ones?

Sinn Sage: Sometimes. obviously the Magic Wand comes out fairly often, and also the Vedo Yumi finger vibe is probably my favorite.

To date which porn scene are you most proud of & why?

Sinn Sage: I mean I’d probably have to say the one that won me the AVN award, for obvious reasons!

Do you watch porn? If so what type?

Sinn Sage: I do not. It’s been my entire life for the past 20 years, and when I have tried to watch it I simply can’t stop overly critiquing literally everything I’m watching so it’s not really fun for me.

How would you sum up your overall stylistic approach to pornography?

Sinn Sage: If it was in one word, it would be authenticity. It’s how I want to perform, it’s what I believe people want to see, and it’s a philosophy I carry with me through my entire life, not just the porn I make. I want the camera to catch my authentic desire in my performances, and if I’m directing other people, that realism is what I’m looking for.

What really turns you on?
