Lyra Lockhart: Hi! My name is Lyra Lockhart, I’m 20 years old, and have been in the adult industry for about eight months. Outside of porn, I’m a goofy, nerdy girl that loves to cook, practice yoga, and snuggle with my cat.

Lyra Lockhart: I try to donate to charity when I can, and would say that I’m most passionate about organizations that help animals and the environment.
My Favorite Pornstar: What makes you different from other adult performers?
Lyra Lockhart: When most people look at me, they would not assume that I do porn and am a total freak. I come off as quite shy and nerdy and I think the shock value sets me apart. One director nicknamed me ‘the silent assassin’ because of that.
My Favorite Pornstar: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Lyra Lockhart: In five years, I hope to have graduated college and possibly go to grad school. I don’t know if I’ll be working in the adult industry full time, but would like to still have some involvement with it even if it doesn’t end up being my main career.

Lyra Lockhart: Just continuing to shoot porn!

Lyra Lockhart: On camera, I like reverse cowgirl or doggy because they always seem to look good. Off camera, I really love missionary because it’s intimate and connective.

Lyra Lockhart: That luckily hasn’t happened to me yet!

Lyra Lockhart: I would love to do an airtight scene, but shooting a girl/girl scene is at the top of my list right now—I love women and want to capture that love on camera.
My Favorite Pornstar: Are there any sex acts that are taboo for you and if so why?
Lyra Lockhart: If you mean taboo as in something I don’t want to do, I’m not a huge fan of vomit or urine play.
My Favorite Pornstar: A day in the life of a pornstar – talk us through an average shoot day?
Lyra Lockhart: I always try to get a good night’s sleep before a scene and pack my shoot bag the night before so everything is ready to go in the morning. That morning, I eat a healthy breakfast, shower, and do my makeup at home or just head to set if it’s done for us there. How long shooting takes depends on the type of scene and how much acting and dialogue is required. Before filming the sex, we usually take “pretty girl” photos, sex stills (although these are sometimes shot in the middle of a scene), and film teaser trailers. Then the sex scene is filmed, we clean up, get paid and go home!
My Favorite Pornstar: What is the funniest thing that’s happened during a shoot?
Lyra Lockhart: I can’t think of a particularly funny experience.
My Favorite Pornstar: There is often a stigma around the adult industry, has this affected you and if it did how did you handle it?
Lyra Lockhart: This stigma has definitely affected my relationship with some of my family, and has definitely made me keep what I do a secret from many people in my life. I am not ashamed at all, but it’s sometimes easier when people don’t know that I do porn.
My Favorite Pornstar: What is the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?
Lyra Lockhart: Not much weirds me out, and none of my scenes have been too crazy, so I can’t really think of anything too weird that’s been asked of me.
My Favorite Pornstar: Is sex with you off camera different to what you see on film & why?
Lyra Lockhart: I think that there are some slight differences, but I do try to keep my performances authentic. Sometimes though, the script requires that you say or do certain things that you may not do a lot off camera. When filming, you also have to be aware of your angles and opening up to the camera, while you can just let go off camera and let nature take its course so to speak. I think I definitely have more intense orgasms off camera because I can really let go and not worry about what I look like or if the camera can see my face, etc.
My Favorite Pornstar: Where is the most exotic location that you’ve filmed a shoot?
Lyra Lockhart: I wouldn’t exactly call Arizona exotic, but I had never been there before so that was cool.
My Favorite Pornstar: Do you get recognized when you’re out & how do your fans react?
Lyra Lockhart: I’m still pretty new and am not well known, so I’ve never been recognized or approached by a fan in public. I also look pretty different when I’m not wearing makeup and don’t have my hair done nicely.
My Favorite Pornstar: What is the most difficult thing about being a pornstar?
Lyra Lockhart: One of the most difficult things for me is constantly having to fight the voice in the back of my head that tells me I’m not pretty enough, thin enough, talented enough, or etc. to do porn. Some days can be really mentally exhausting.
My Favorite Pornstar: If you weren’t shooting adult videos what would you be doing?
Lyra Lockhart: I would be in college (like I am now) and would just be a slut off camera.
My Favorite Pornstar: What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Lyra Lockhart: I would tell someone to do their research about different agencies before signing with one, and to also make sure that they’re really prepared to be an adult performer. This job is not easy and takes a lot of mental strength, entrepreneurship, and perseverance.
My Favorite Pornstar: How do you keep in shape? Are there any specific exercises or routines that you complete?
Lyra Lockhart: I practice yoga pretty regularly and am trying to get back into weightlifting more as well.
My Favorite Pornstar: What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Lyra Lockhart: I love to cook and bake—I’m always making cookies and bringing them to my friends! Learning languages is another hobby of mine as well. My minor is actually in Japanese and I study other languages as well.

Lyra Lockhart: I typically masturbate with my hands, but occasionally will use dildos or vibrators. I recently started to fool around with wand-style vibrators (like hitachi) and they knocked my socks off.
