How did you start within the industry?
Kira Queen: It was always my dream to be a pornstar. I saw an ad in a newspaper. I called them and had my first job really fast.
How did you create the name?
Kira Queen: Kira was my favourite girl’s name. I always felt it was more me. I was very conservative before and the new name was a chance to reinvent myself and start a new free and open life in porn. And actually it’s Queen Kira to you;) No seriously I don’t even remember where the queen part came from. Maybe from a fan or producer..
What do you enjoy most about being a pornstar?
Kira Queen: I love my fans the most. Over the years I feel we have learned so much together. And of course I love the sense of freedom. It’s a different lifestyle. You get to have sex with whoever you like with no shame and no regrets. I love it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Kira Queen: Hopefully with everything exactly as it is now. I don’t want to change a thing!

Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?
Kira Queen: I am from Dagestan, a Islamic region of Russia. Over the years I’ve received many death threats and abuse because some people in my home country disagree with my choices. They use the religion to justify treating my life. It’s almost always young males that send death threats and I believe the majority of religious people hopefully don’t care about my business and are nice tolerant people. But sadly there is a vocal minority who must have all kind of problems, spending all their time messaging their hate.
What's the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?
Kira Queen: There have been several things I’ve been asked to do that I did not feel comfortable with so I didn’t do them. It’s important to only say yes to things you really want to do.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Kira Queen: Don’t do drugs. Be strong. Only do what makes you happy. Work hard.
What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Kira Queen: I love travel, reading, puzzles. I love chilling at home.
Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot and if so how did you handle it?
Kira Queen: Nope. Always just been good clean fun
