Mia Casanova: It may seem obvious, but the thing I love the most about my job is the freedom to express my sexuality. Of course, there is always a plot, but this job makes me feel more self confident.

Mia Casanova: Maybe I will be a mum of many kids in a big family.

Which porn star would you most like to work with?

Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot?

Mia Casanova: When I was shooting with a big production company in Prague, the male performer I was shooting with had a very bad taste of his sperm. It was disgusting. But I tried not to make bad faces, and I swallowed it anyway. When you work in porn nutrition is very important.

Mia Casanova: I don’t have real taboos in sex. I also have my kinks and I’m really open-minded. I just don’t like blasphemy and scat. It’s not my thing.

What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you during a shoot?

Mia Casanova: The most funny things in porn are the bloopers. When you see someone fall on the floor while shooting or stuff like that. Maybe the entire day on set for “It Could Work – the Young Frankenstein XXX Parody” by JustCallMeRyanX was one of the funniest days on set ever.

Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?

Mia Casanova: I’m Italian, and Italy is not the best place to be a porn star. People always judge and point fingers at you, if you decide to be free with your sexuality. Luckily, I have a lot of friends whom know my job and respect me.

What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Mia Casanova: It was not a real shooting, but a webcam show. A guy asked to see me just holding my partner’s cock while he was pissing on the toilet.

Do you get recognised outside of the industry?

Mia Casanova: Not really. I’ve been recognized only in some Exhibitions. But it never happened (yet) to be recognized somewhere around. Maybe because I’m really “different”, off camera… lol

Are there any sex acts that you want to shoot?

What’s the most difficult thing about being a porn star?

Mia Casanova: Being part of society. For some people, being a porn star is the same as being a whore. And being a sexworker makes me unworthy of respect. This is awful. As a human being I deserve respect like anyone. Living my life and decide everyday what to do with my body shouldn’t affect the opinion of people on my own.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to be a porn star?

Mia Casanova: Do it because this is what you really want to do. It should be not a matter of money or popularity. This job changes your life, both in good and bad ways. So be conscientious of your decisions. And you should never do something it makes you non confident. You can and you have all the right to say “no”.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of the industry?

Mia Casanova: I love music and art. Years ago I was a drummer and singer in a female rock band.

Do you use sex toys? If so which ones?

Mia Casanova: I love sex toys. I think it’s my fetish. I have more than 50 of them, all different kinds and shapes. I use them all, it depends on what I’m into in a given moment.

To date which porn scene are you most proud of?

If you were interviewing a porn star what would you ask them?

Mia Casanova: I would ask if she’s always happy in what she does. My answer is that this life is full and stressful, but I will never do anything that doesn’t make me feel happy and proud of me everyday.
