How did it feel to be nominated for the AVN Best Newcomer Awards 2020?

Will Pounder: I was completely surprised by it! My girl Charlotte Stokely won G/G Performer of the year and then they announced me as the winner after that and it was super surreal.

Has the award helped you to continue with your success within the adult industry?

Will Pounder: I look at awards like the boxes of marital arts trophies and medals I have. It’s a sign that you’re doing something right and to keep improving.

What would you change about the adult industry?

Will Pounder: The step-dad or step-son is sooo played out, it should just go away.

What's the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Will Pounder: I’m not calling anyone out hahaha some things are best left for fun conversations not interviews.

Has the stigma around the adult industry, has this affected you?

Will Pounder: Honestly, I haven’t really received much negativity for it, if anything people are more open to being themselves around me and they feel like they don’t have to put on a social front. Everyone has a different experience and I always put my happiness before someone else’s approval.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?

Will Pounder: It’s like being a professional athlete, if you have the work ethic, personal discipline and can separate work from home then you may have a shot at it. It’s no walk in the park and it takes a physical toll on your body.

What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?

Will Pounder: Before Covid I competed against the no. 3rd guy in the world in jujitsu as my first match back in 10 years since breaking my back. Jujitsu is definitely a hobby/lifestyle of mine, as far as other things, I enjoy studying Ancient Samaria and Egyptology.

Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot?

Will Pounder: I’ve seen worse in the Marine Corps hahaha.

To date which porn scene are you most proud of & why?

Will Pounder: That’s hard to say because the new ones I’m shooting keep getting better and better so I’m still striving to reach my full potential.

Will Pounder: That my friend depends on the mood, usually it’s foreign porn because I know all the guys in the scenes here in the US and that kind of ruins the fun for me lol.
