Elizabeth Skylar: Hey, my name is Elizabeth Skylar! I am 33 years old, a wife and mother of 2 and I happen to be a porn star! I was born, raised and still currently live in Los Angeles county.

How did you start within the industry?

Elizabeth Skylar: I started small after the pandemic hit in May of 2020 as a cam girl on Chaturbate. In April of 2021 I started an OnlyFans. How did you create the name?

Elizabeth Skylar: My husband came up with my name actually. He was reading about Alexander Hamilton and his wife who is named Elizabeth Schuyler (but pronounced Elizabeth Skylar). I liked the name and it has stuck ever since!

What do you enjoy most about being a porn star?

Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?

Elizabeth Skylar: There definitely is a stigma in this industry. I like to call it the “Boogie Nights” stigma. People that are not familiar with the industry automatically peg porn stars as irresponsible, unpredictable, drug addicts that just want to party but funny enough that can’t be further from the truth. Everybody that I have worked with in the industry is professional and sober during a scene and even when cameras are not rolling, things remain professional.

Even industry parties that I have gone to are very easy going and safe. In the end, porn stars are just like everybody else. Many people I know in this industry have families ( including myself). Surprisingly my family does not know what I do. Only my husband and some close friends but everybody else is in the dark. I have a some Jedi mind fucks in my own head of how my family is going to handle it when they either find out or tell them. I just want to be accepted and seen as “me”.

What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Elizabeth Skylar: I haven’t had any weird requests or orders yet but I have had some wild requests on OnlyFans (that’s for another day).

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?

Elizabeth Skylar: Oh man…there is so much I can say but definitely treat your career as if it’s a big corporate job. Be organized, prepared, show up on time and willing to give it your all. Another piece of advice is to listen to your body physically, mentally and emotionally. If you feel like you are burned out, take a break. It is so important. More than you think.

What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?

Elizabeth Skylar: This is going to be a long one. I love to shop (I think every woman does) both in stores and online…especially Amazon. I go down the Amazon rabbit hole sometimes. I also love to decorate for holidays or just for my normal house decor. I am a huge Christmas nut and the amount of decorations I have is insane. It has become a problem.

So much so that I had my husband build me 2 sheds on either side of our house so I can store all my stuff in there. I also love to read about history, particularly European history or anything that interests me. I will spend hours on the internet reading at night if I can’t sleep or am having anxiety. Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot and if so how did you handle it?

Elizabeth Skylar: Hahaha believe it or not no. Very few things gross me out. I am a mom so I have cleaned up after anything and everything. At the end of the day, we are dealing with bodies and body fluids. Things happen that are sometimes out of our control and that’s ok.
