Tell us a bit about yourself?
Claire Roos: I’m half Croatian, I was raised in San Pedro California. I was homeschooled and sheltered and didn’t really grow up around other people. I lost my virginity on a porn set when I was 20 and the rest is history.
What are your stats/measurements?
Claire Roos: 30C-24-34. I’m 5’7 and 110 lbs.
How did you start within the industry?
Claire Roos: I met my agent online and he booked me for a shoot for barely legal magazine. Then I shot for exploited college girls. I was a virgin at the time so I lost my virginity and had my first kiss on set with Jake Adams.
How did you create the name?
Claire Roos: Claire is my real first name, Roos comes from Emma Kline’s The Girls.
Why do you want to become a pornstar?
Claire Roos: I never really wanted to be a porn star, I never wanted it to be a long-term thing and I never thought I’d do it for as long as I did. I wanted to do porn so I could have unique experiences that I could write about and create things for the public to consume. I knew losing my virginity in porn would make me a more interesting and textured person. I thought about quitting after a few months but people were asking to see more of me so I never really left. And I also ended up really enjoy performing, I love having a space to be uninhibited and just go nuts. I never thought I’d like performing as much as I do so that was kind of unexpected.
Tell us about your first shoot was it what you expected?
Claire Roos: It was for Barely Legal magazine. That to date is still one of my favorite shoots. The photographer was Charles Lightfoot, he was really sweet and made me feel as comfortable as possible! I thought all porn sets were gonna be like that, but then I had some shitty experiences after and later came to appreciate how special that was and how grateful I am to have been treated so well.
What’s your favorite sexual position on & off camera & why?
Claire Roos: Missionary, I love the intense eye contact.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Claire Roos: I want to get married and have kids and direct porn. I want to be one of those good female directors like Mason.
Are there any sex acts that you want to shoot?
Claire Roos: I’ve already shot everything I wanted to.
Which pornstar would you most like to work with?
Claire Roos: Mike Adriano, he’s so amazing! I absolutely love his work!
What would you change about the adult industry?
Claire Roos: I think there should be less corporate overlords breathing down our necks and more room for creative freedom in performers.
Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?
Claire Roos: I don’t think there’s a stigma anymore. Maybe somewhere like Orange County or whatever. Fucking is a part of life and it’s harmless so I think the new generation understands that you’re a hypocrite if you judge someone for doing it on camera. Whenever I tell someone i did porn they always think it’s really cool and want to learn more.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Claire Roos: Be careful who you go into business with. There are people who will pretend to be on your side and then find loopholes in your contract and take all your money.
What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Claire Roos: I’m a good writer but I only write when I’m in love, that’s the only time I’m ever inspired. I like going on road trips and being out in the middle of nowhere and exploring. I like going to goodwill and finding little trinkets and old clothes to buy. I love the desert.
Do you use sex toys? If so which ones?
Claire Roos: I have a vibrator and butt plugs.
Which pornstar do you admire and why?
Claire Roos: I’ve been really liking Jessie Andrews lately. I like what she did with her career after porn ended and her look is kind of similar to mine.
Do you watch porn? If so what type?
Claire Roos: Not really. I kind of hate the way most modern-day porn looks. I hate the look of digital. I have a tumblr where I look at vintage porn from the 70s and stuff like that. That’s when porn was still interesting.
How do you stay in shape?
Claire Roos: I walk everywhere.
If you were interviewing a pornstar what would you ask them?
Claire Roos: I would ask them whether they’ve ever fallen in love with a co-star before, because I totally have!
What really turns you on?
Claire Roos: I love being called a whore, being slapped in the face while I’m getting fucked. I love getting pissed on. I love giving really sloppy head with lots of snot and saliva.
