Tell us a bit about yourself.
Skye Blue: My name is Skye Blue. I’m 26 and from Florida! I started modeling in NYC, and then when Playboy reached out to me, it quickly started my career as a mainstream adult. I love being able to be artistic and think that comes out a lot in my work. My hobbies are painting and sewing, and my favorite thing to do to decompress is a bath and anime.

How did you start in the industry?
Skye Blue: I started in camming and had a private Snapchat when I was 18, but it didn’t really last long. So when I was modeling and got the chance to work for Playboy, I grew many connections and decided to take a chance on mainstream.
How did you create the name?
Skye Blue: My mother wanted to name me Skye, and my hair was blue at the time.
What do you enjoy most about being a porn star?
Skye Blue: I love being able to express myself fully! I also like being able to do whatever I desire, and it does not seem like a taboo subject when I ask for what I want.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Skye Blue: I would love to be fully behind the lens at that point! But I love photographing people, and directing is the next thing I want to try.

Skye Blue: I think there needs to be more community within the industry. Being able to talk with one another, discuss rates, and what's acceptable on and off set is really something I don’t see a lot. If we all came together to improve it rather than being so competitive, I think it would elevate the whole industry.
Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?
Skye Blue: It’s definitely only affected my personal life. It was hard for my parents to accept at first, but eight years later, they’ve finally come around to it, to the point I can joke about it with my mother.
What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?
Skye Blue: I think the strangest one was to turn into a human ball. I couldn’t understand what they meant for the longest time until they showed me a picture, and it was just the pretzel pose.
Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot?
Skye Blue: I definitely have. I’ve called off a couple of shoots due to the other person’s personal hygiene. Usually, I just tell them exactly what’s on in my mind in the nicest way, a solution to the problem, and ask if we can reschedule.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Skye Blue: Definitely do your research. Talk to multiple people and agents before signing. Know that your parents will ALWAYS find out. And most of us are incredibly friendly and willing to give you pointers if you’re serious.
What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Skye Blue: I love to paint and take photos of others. Really anything creative I love doing.
