Reina Ryder: I’m a content creator, painter, published model and adult film star. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and I have always been a strong sex work advocate. How did you start within the industry?
Reina Ryder: I’ve always been super comfortable with my sexuality. Reina Ryder: I love that Im my own boss, I can control my own schedule and I can travel and see new places! I also truly enjoy all the amazing experiences and new things I get to try along with the freedom i have to express myself.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Reina Ryder: I really don’t know yet.. I can’t see that far into the future! I guess I would love if in 5 years I was an established star with a supportive following and thousands of subscribers on all my paid platforms. Hopefully my paintings have a successful store and I’ve established a streetwear line!

Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot, and if so how did you handle it?
Reina Ryder: It’s always important to wipe yourself before you shoot any scene and I think that’s pretty known knowledge in this industry. It’s just out of respect as well as consideration! I haven’t shot with anyone that I was grossed out by thank the porn gods.
Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?
Reina Ryder: I was lucky to have a strong friend group that was ecstatic about me doing porn. Dating was awful. I had a relationship where the guy didn’t want to touch me or see me for a day or two after a shoot and we would always argue about his insecurities. I had a relationship where the guy manipulated me into believing I owed him some kind of money or gifts for “allowing” me to do porn. It’s really hard to find someone who can respect you and see outside of this shit stigma. Sex work is WORK. Most people outside of the industry can’t understand that there’s a huge difference between love and sex.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Reina Ryder: Definitely make sure you’re ready to carry it with you for the rest of your life and make sure this is something YOU truly want to do.
What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Reina Ryder: Outside of the industry I love to paint. I call my art “erotic pop art” and I spend a lot of time just painting on my balcony and lighting up a joint or four.
