My Favorite Pornstar: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Johnny Deep: I’m a Glasgow version of Jack the Lad. I’m a happy go lucky type of guy that goes with the flow and is very open minded. Especially when it comes to sex. I have a hard working mentaliy and love to learn new things. I also like to travel and have a passion for movies and film-making in general. I believe these attitubutes that if used the right way could be of great benefit to the adult industry.

My Favorite Pornstar: How did you create the name?

Johnny Deep: Having kept an eye on the industry for so long, I found a lot of the better known actors and actresses had names that were either spoofs of either famous movie stars or like that of comic book characters whose first and last names started with the same initial e.g. James Deen as opposed to James Dean, Jenna Jameson with both names beginning with J. So I knew I had to come up with something that stood out. I wrote down some famous actor names and played around with them and the one that jumped out straight away was Johnny Deep as opposed to Johnny Depp! My Favorite Pornstar: What made you decide that you wanted to be in the adult industry?

Johnny Deep: For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed porn but more recently I have found myself DEEPly invested (see what I did there ) in the work that goes into making a great scene. The preparation involved, the camera angles, the chemistry needed to make the scene believable and of course the timing of the money shot. Without sounding like I’m tooting my own horn, I have been complimented more than once that based on my strong interest in the industry as well as being well endowed that I should maybe look at finding a way of throwing myself into it.

Johnny Deep: It’s been a great experience so far and I’ve learned so much in such a short space of time having already worked with the Queen of British Porn Michelle Thorne and Brooklyn Blue.

Johnny Deep: Having been a huge fan of Michelle for many years it was very surreal to find myself shooting a scene with her. She is lovely to work with and makes sure you are at your best before going to work. She is absolutely amazing at what she does and rightfully deserves her unofficial title as the Queen of British porn.

My Favorite Pornstar: Where do you see yourself in 6 months?

Johnny Deep: I’d like to think after 6 months I’ll have built up a substantial portfolio having worked with some of the best known actors and actresses around together with having made the right impression with my performances and word of mouth that gets the best production companies talking.

My Favorite Pornstar: Do your friends and family know that you’re working within the adult industry?

Johnny Deep: Of course I was nervous confessing my new career path to both friends and family. However to my surprise they each reacted the same way and that is do what makes you happy and we’ll support you every step of the way.

My Favorite Pornstar: Talk us through how and when you decided that you wanted to be a pornstar and the process that you went through?

Johnny Deep: I can’t tell you how long I had spent looking at magazines, newspapers and online at how a male prospect gets an opportunity in the adult industry. I quickly discovered that it is anything but easy for a new stud to get his foot (or cock for that matter) in the door especially when there are so many scammers out there that claim to be able to put you in touch with the right people in exchange for your bank details. Then I suddenly discovered Twitter and noticed how many well known names in the industry used it as a platform to network with each other in terms of getting work. So here I am.

My Favorite Pornstar: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Johnny Deep: In 5 years time I’d like to find myself having built a reputation as one that some of the biggest production companies would rely on in terms of creating a top drawer scene. Your Digital Playgrounds, Brazzers, Reality Kings, and Naughty America just to name a few.

My Favorite Pornstar: What has come to as the biggest shock working within the industry?

Johnny Deep: I’d say the biggest shock is how nice and approachable everyone has been that I’ve worked with and how willing they are to help each other. Everyone is so normal and down to earth and that makes everything involved in making a great scene so much easier.

My Favorite Pornstar: Talk us through how different sex is in front of the camera to off camera?

Johnny Deep: It’s totally different in every way possible. You have to be mindful of your angles and envision how both you and the model look on camera whilst you are performing together with an emphasis on making the model look as amazing she can be.

My Favorite Pornstar: When being filmed having sex how much of the performance is mental over physical?

Johnny Deep: I would have to say the performance is 99% mental ability. I say that because if you’ve had a bad day or are not in the mood for some reason it will show on camera and you will struggle to make the scene look believable and there will be next to no chemistry between yourself and the model. Nobody wants to see that so it is important that you prepare yourself as much as possible in order to create the best scene you can.

My Favorite Pornstar: Is it what you thought it would be?

Johnny Deep: It is what I thought it would be and more. I say more because it is not easy but nothing worthwhile is. However I find that if you work hard and do your job as a performer to the best of your ability it feels very rewarding and of course a lot of fun at the same time.

My Favorite Pornstar: Which performers within the industry do you admire?

Johnny Deep: There’s too many to mention. But if we’re to push me I’d have to say those that come to mind first are Sophie Anderson, Aletta Ocean, Nicolette Shea, Amber Jayne and Jasmine Jae. All of those girls are so talented at what they do and look amazing when they’re doing it. I would also have to say Danny D is my idol. For me the best male performer in the world and has been for some time. Not all heroes wear capes.
