How did you create the name?
Ember Snow: The weekend that I made the decision to do porn as a career, I was in Northern Idaho and experienced falling snow for the first time in my life. Ember Snow: If I get recognized, usually the fans don’t approach me. I used to think that no one ever recognized me, but then I got an e-mail from a guy who works in a restaurant I used to go to a lot. he said he recognized me and wanted to tell me that he was a big fan and offered me some coupon for the place. Nothing against him, but it freaked me out because it was the first time I found out that someone recognized me.

Talk us through an average shoot day?
Ember Snow: Really it’s about waking up, usually very early in the morning. Some shoots provide hair and make-up on set, others require us to do it ourselves. I try to grab something to eat on the way to the set. Once we’re there and are all made up and dressed, we usually do photo sets.
The first is usually of me by myself dressed as my character. If there’s another girl, they’ll do a set of her solo as well before putting us together for another set. Eventually we do a run through of the scene and take stills of the different positions for the website. Then, once that’s all out of the way, we perform the scene.
We start with the set-up, which is usually scripted or improvised, depending on the shoot. Then we move into the sex. This part of the shoot can take as little as 30 minutes and up to several hours. It all depends on who we’re shooting for and what they want. When the scene is over, I usually shower (especially if there is a cum shot), fill out my paperwork so I can get paid and then go home.
I’ll eat soon after that and then, if it was a long, grueling day I’ll usually watch a movie and go to bed, or if it was a short scene that wasn’t very strenuous, I’ll do a short cam show to make a little extra money. People need to understand that porn is a job and for me, it is not a lifestyle or a psychological disorder.
Most people, when they meet me, can’t believe I do porn. And I like that. But there are a lot of people who make assumptions about my sexual activities off set. I wish these people would treat me like they would treat any other girl. And even then, I think we deal with issues of respect in general, not just within the porn industry. As far as how do I handle it? If someone has a problem with what I do, then they can have that problem. That’s their right. It’s just sad that people aren’t willing to see the other side of the coin. Ember Snow: It used to be that if you were pretty and willing to fuck, you got a lot of work and could rise to the top of the heap a lot faster. Now, it’s all about your social media. When I got into this business, I didn’t have a Twitter, Instagram or Facebook page. Over the last two years, when I am not actively working, I am constantly on Twitter, trying to build my following and gain the attention of the biggest directors and production companies in the business.
It’s hard work. I just launched my Instagram last September and my numbers are slowly picking up. What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the industry?

I can draw you a road map to success because I have been given advice by over 30 different people from all walks of life in this business and I have experienced was does and does not work. Also, I can work out a financial plan for you that will ensure that you are always going to have money for the rest of your life. Don’t get into this business to make money today, get into to make money when you’re in your 70s and can’t work anymore.
What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?
Ember Snow: I’m really into video games. Assasin’s Creed and Kingdom Hearts are just a couple of my favorites. I also love to travel, but I haven’t had as many opportunities as I would like. There’s still a lot of this country that I want to see.
