How did you create the name?

Dee Siren: As a swinger my hubby and I had to come up with a screen name and chose Greek Siren because my legal first name is based off of Greek Mythology. Everyone called me Siren in the swinging lifestyle so I brought that with me to the adult industry. When I needed a first name, my legal middle name started with a D & is difficult to pronounce so my nickname was already Dee so it just came naturally. Therefore Dee Siren just fit.

You used to be a teacher, tell us about the transition from teacher to pornstar?

Dee Siren:  In 2009, I had been teaching for many years and was burnt out. I loved the children but the public school system was terrible. It was having a terrible effect on my mental health and I needed a change. I had a good friend who was a webcam model on the down-low. She introduced me to webcam and I began on IFriends during the summer of 2009 while I was on break. After a month, I had made almost half my yearly salary from teaching and knew I was done. I never returned. Within 6 months, I was asked to film my first adult film and box cover for Sticky Video with Naughty Alysha called “Huge Holes 15”. As I always say, “Go big or go home.” 🤣

You started in the adult industry in 2010 but took time out due to a car crash, can you tell us about your plans before the crash?

Dee Siren:  In Sept 2014, I was involved in a severe car accident where an elderly women clipped my back tire & I spun up onto a median and hit a light pole knocking it down. I had a concussion and I knew I had injured my neck and arm but to what extent took several months to figure out. I had ruptured the discs in my neck.

I had my first cervical spine surgery in January 2015 which was the same time I was nominated for an AVN for Most Outrageous Sex Scene which I had filmed with Mike Adriano for Evil Angel the year before. I was at the top of my game before my surgery. After being in the industry for 3 years, I had filmed for many of the big-name companies and had a solid membership site with over 300 scenes exclusively filmed by SirenXXXStudios, my company with my husband Wayne Siren. We were on our way to expanding our company to include several other websites and a network of talent at the time of my accident.

I was planning to continue to grow as an entertainer and follow the path of my good friends who now are some of the most successful influencers on social media. Sadly, the accident put a major damper on my efforts to increase my exposure and audience for the last 5 years. Luckily, I had my husband’s loving support and know-how to be able to continue to grow our studio with my advice and assistance behind the scenes and filming when I was able to but I was not able to film for mainstream companies like I had planned or grow my social media.

You broke your neck in the car crash can you tell us about the road to recovery and how you remained motivated?

Dee Siren: Honestly, it was extremely difficult to continue being motivated through the 5 years of recovery however I had chosen to become “Dee Siren” not only in my career but in my personal life. As I tell others once you choose this as your path, there is no turning back. You cannot just make it disappear nor did I want to.

My online presence was always there. I continued to post on my social media. Mainly Twitter. I did not have an Instagram as it was too hard to keep up with all that at the time but my fan base was always with me throughout my recovery. I also had made a strong group of friends in the industry who shared their knowledge and I was able to begin my Onlyfans account at the beginning of the platform so I would post pics and clips of me in flashing in my hospital gown on morphine in a neck brace. My fans donated to my GoFundMe.

I always had the support of my husband who continued to make the website grow. We hired other models to film for our studio and started new websites. I continued working behind the scenes as much as I could. My husband directed and filmed as many videos as possible so that we could continue our careers in the adult industry even though the star “myself” could not perform. We grew out of necessity and with it became an entire production studio.

You launched 'Siren Sex Coach’ what does that involve?

Dee Siren: SirenSexCoach.com is my newest venture and I am super excited about it. I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies which encompasses intense studies in both psychology and sociology and a certification in education. It has always been in my nature to help others and now after 10 years in the adult industry and after being married for over 20 years, I am proud to be able to offer anyone a non-judgmental one on one opportunity to connect with me personally for advice on navigating relationships, reigniting your sexual energy, building your self-confidence, self-pleasure, sexuality concerns, dating concerns, empowerment building, relating successfully and sensually with your lovers, teaching others to move beyond the mind and allowing the body to feel, along with helping move past feelings of guilt, shame, and fear that society has tamed you into feeling.

My website is hosted by Patreon and there are several tiered choices from motivational clips, email, and Skype sessions available. I also have been acting as a mentor to many adult performers over the years and in the recent past began writing for XCritic in their XMentors column. Within my Sex Coaching site, I have built-in a special section just for those in or wanting to get into the adult industry.

It also offers 2 tiered options to set up sessions for advice on anything industry related from dealing with on set issues, advice on webcam, photo/video shoots, what to expect, what options are available if you are an independent content creator and want advice on how to sell your content successfully. Honestly, I have established it as a means to help performers when they do not know where to go or who to ask and coming from someone who has done it all. Follow my social media on Twitter and Instagram, I also post motivational clips on my YouTube channel links below

Tell usYou're known for helping other performers within the industry, what are your best 3 pieces of advice?self

Dee Siren: 1. DO YOUR RESEARCH and KNOW who you are working for. Before you EVER agree to film for ANY type of company or even to trade content with other performers, know who you are working for and with. Sadly, there are so many scammers out there and people will take advantage of other people.

This includes agents, other talent, companies and individuals. It is YOUR responsibility to be your own advocate. Don’t expect someone else to do it for you. Make sure you know what type of scene you will be shooting, who you will be shooting with, what is included in the scene, how you will be compensated (paid/trade). You are an independent contractor which means you are responsible for you. Don’t expect anyone else to take care of you.

2. Once you’re on the internet, you’re ALWAYS on the internet. Don’t expect to be able to hide from your family, friends, loved ones, anyone. This is 2020, facial recognition is ALL around you and so are other forms of recognition. When you agree to be on film, you sign paperwork (model release form and 2257 age verification) agreeing to post your likeness on the WORLD WIDE WEB! If you’re in the industry for the right reason, you will want everyone to see it. Otherwise, don’t do something you will regret in the future for a short term reason.

3. Choose this industry because you LOVE it NOT for FAME. Have you ever heard the term, “Broke and Famous”? Many adult industry stars struggle to pay their bills, are not happy where they are in life, choose to do this job because it’s “easy money”, or to “be famous”. FAME is NOT real. It is a fleeting phenomenon. You may be the “IT” girl/boy for half a second and then you will be replaced. There is always another “IT” person right around the corner.

Choose this industry because it calls to you. Something about it fits with your personality. You feel a connection to the people. Personally, I have always said this should not be a “job”, it should be a “career” and now I realize it is more than just that. It becomes a “lifestyle”. You CANNOT just walk away. It will follow you. Once you become your “stage name” and do it successfully then it becomes a part of you. For me, it has become who I am. I have found my tribe of people in this industry. I never fit till I found you.

We’ve been informed that you may be attending the eXXXotica conventions, how do you decide which shows to attend?

Dee Siren: I have attended Exxxotica NJ this last year and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences as far as conventions. I had so much fun meeting all my fans up close and personal and I was surprised after I was required to take so much time off that so many fans came to see me.

As for which shows I choose to attend, it really depends on when they are and how much attendance there will be. I do take the advice of my amazing PR team StarFactory PR on which shows to attend. They are great at informing me of what shows are high attendance of fans and which ones are lower. I also base it on my family obligations because I do have a family and they always come first.

You’re known for being an avid swinger, tell us about that started?

Dee Siren: My husband and I have been married over 20 years and about 13 years ago after having children, we decided to give swinging a try. I was completely monogamous throughout our marriage so it was an outlandish idea but after many years of my husband expressing his desire to have a threesome, I agreed to allow another man into our relationship so that we could all have fun together.

We found a local swingers website as well as Craigslist at the time and began chatting with others. That led to us having sex together while others watched on webcam which also showed me how much of an exhibitionist I was. It was very much a learning experience as well as a communication building experience for our relationship. We built a wonderful group of friends and joined a wonderful lifestyle. You can hear about the entire story on our podcast. YouTube.com/sirenssexysecrets

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Dee Siren: I am currently working to get my certification as a sex educator and hoping that I can truly help others through my Siren Sex Coach website as a sex educator, advisor, mentor, and teacher. We also continue to grow our studio to include more creative productions. I am currently working on a line of products that will hopefully go out to the market sometime in the coming months so there are many opportunities ahead.

What's your favorite sexual position on & off camera & why?

Dee Siren: Honestly I do not have a favorite position. I have had so many partners over the years and position all depends on your partner and how you are feeling personally at the time. I truly believe women would have more fun during sex if they were in control and attuned to their own bodies and the feelings it is having while they are having sex. There are so many nerve endings throughout the vulva, clitoris, and vagina that each position can hit different ones and cause different sensations if you allow yourself to relax and enjoy each sexual encounter.

Are there any sex acts that you haven’t shot yet but want to?

Dee Siren: I would like to film a pegging scene and possibly a scene with one of the many trans stars that I have not been able to film with at this time. Other than that, I pretty much have filmed everything I could ever want to film.

Which pornstar would you most like to work with?

Dee Siren: There is not one pornstar that I would like to work with. There are many I would love to be able to have a chance to connect and film with if I have the chance but I can’t say there is only one.

What would you change about the adult industry?

Dee Siren: I would hope as time goes on there are more and more independent production studios that can get the attention that they deserve from the large adult publications such as AVN and Xbiz. Since there are so many companies that have now been purchased by large corporations there are only a few monopolies that own most of the mainstream porn companies.

The smaller companies don’t get the same type of exposure if you are not a part of those large corporations. I also hope that any bad apples in the industry who take advantage of performers are ousted from their positions but that is very difficult and happens in all forms of business.

Has the stigma around the adult industry affected you?

Dee Siren: Sadly yes the stigma around sex work and the adult industry has affected myself and my family. A couple of years after I started my career, my family along with everyone in our neighborhood, area, and even my husband’s employer at the time found out about my career. I was disowned by many of my family members. They assumed my husband was abusing me and that he had forced me into this choice.

When I told them it was my decision, they called me names and basically told me I was trash. I was no longer allowed to attend family events. My children have been bullied by others because of my job and they have had to deal with many issues. My husband and I have always stood our ground and support open marriages and our lifestyle. We also support our children completely and are always there to stop anyone from bullying them for any reason.

What's the weirdest thing that you’ve been asked to do during a shoot?

Dee Siren: I haven’t really been asked to do anything too weird in a video shoot. I am normally the one who gets weird. No one asks me to. Lol. The weirdest requests really come from webcam more than on set. Individuals on webcam can ask for the strangest things from singing the ABC’s, to acting like their mom, to drinking your own period blood.

What hobbies & interests do you have outside of the adult industry?

Dee Siren: First and foremost I am a mom outside of my career. I actually chose to get into this industry so I would be able to stay home with my children. Most of my time is spent with them. Other than that, I love spending time with my husband, my 3 dogs, and my parents. I am the CEO of my company so I don’t have a lot of free time but when I do I am a bit obsessed with taking baths, swimming, laying out by the pool, reading, writing, and watching crime TV.

Have you ever been grossed out during a shoot and if so how did you handle it?

Dee Siren: No I am a mom to 3 children and 3 dogs so it would be very difficult to gross me out. I also make sure I know what I am getting into before I agree to shoot for anyone so I don’t put myself into a situation that I would not feel comfortable in

Do you use sex toys? If so which ones?

Dee Siren: I am pretty much known for my big toys. My first video I made was “Huge Holes 15” which was massive dildos. Honestly, I probably have at least 40 toys ranging from small egg vibrators, double dildos, arm-sized dildos, strap-ons, massagers, fuck machines, etc, I pretty much have everything I can get my hands on and if I can afford it. I am not into BDSM so I don’t have any of those types on contraptions for myself but I do have them for others 😉

To date which porn scene are you most proud of & why?

Dee Siren: There are a few scenes that are my most popular scenes. I cannot say that I am most proud of them necessarily. I put all my effort into every scene I make and I have made over 300 scenes both with major mainstream companies and for my own production company and website Mrssiren.com. Most people know me from my performance as the Mistress of the Plantation in Evasive Angels “Can’t Be Roots” Parody which caused a lot of controversy at the time. To me it was just a lot of fun making the film with my co-stars.

Do you watch porn? If so what type?

Dee Siren: I am much more of an exhibitionist than a voyeur. I don’t really watch much porn and when I do, I really just watch clips on social media. I do really like many of the more big productions from companies like Adult Time that have more of an interesting storyline. If it’s just to get off then I enjoy gay porn. Girls or boys just depends on the day.
